Children at weddings

We are asked by customers how to tactfully inform their guests that they would prefer the wedding to be a
child -free day.  This can be a tricky subject as you don't want to offend guests if not worded in a polite and respectful way.

One way is not to add the children's name to your handmade wedding invitations.  The guest should assume that the children are not invited.

Here are some popular phrases to add to your invites or information cards.

'With respect, we would like our special day to be an adult only occasion.'

'We would like to respectfully ask that our wedding day be for adults only.'

'We love the idea of children but not at our wedding!  So, other than newborns, we hope you can make other arrangements for your children and enjoy a break.'

'In order to keep numbers to a minimum, I'm afraid we are unable to accommodate any children at our wedding.'

'To cut down on costs, I'm afraid we can only accommodate children of immediate family members.  We hope you enjoy having a night off!'
